How do i change the access permissions for a folder on windows XP?
PLZ READ FIRST!!
ok so i am using windows xp home edition
and im trying to download a program, but its saying that i dont have the permission to use that folder.
Ive been getting something like, right click on the folder, then click properties, and then click on the security tab….but there is no freaking security tab, EVERYWHERE I LOOK IT ALWAYS SAYS THE SAME FREAKING THING!!!!!, it getting so annoying, i do all the directions, but i still dont see a security tab…., cn someone plz help me? thanks!
i dont see that option….
i dont see anything that says “enable simple file sharing”
you have to go into control panel>folder options> deselect “enable simple file sharing”
then you will get the security tab and will be able to do what i think/know you want to do
